Challenger proving a challenge

by Rachel Seymour 14/09/2009

NAB may have a fight on it's hands as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is preparing to challenge the National Australia Bank’s proposed $385 takeover of Challenger’s mortgage business.

Just last month NAB excitingly announced its plans to acquire Challenger's home lending business.

NAB were hoping the deal could take them up to compete as one of the key players in the mortgage industry but will now have to fight for the deal and wait until the decision next month.
